Lifestyle

When we talk about lifestyle, we refer to a person’s way of living. It encompasses various aspects of life, such as hobbies, habits, travel and all the things happening in my life between my travels and staying at home.

September 2023

The month of September began with a hot spell that saw temperatures soar to between 29 and 32°C.

I had grown accustomed to wearing a light sweater in the evenings, but now the humidity has pushed the heat index to 40, making it unbearable even for my squirrel who is lying down on the porch to cool off.

I don’t know about you, but when spring arrives, I can’t wait to shed my heavy layers and socks. And when fall arrives, I long to wear a cozy sweater, but still no socks!

Today, it’s cool and rainy outside.

Despite that, I’m currently searching for a cruise for next month as accommodation in the places we want to visit is quite expensive. A cruise seems to be the best option for now.

August 2023

I have been working on my SEO for this blog for almost one month and working on the last two trips I did in the spring. If it continues like that, I will be on another trip and nothing will be done.

April 2023

WOW, April !! Mother Nature decided to give us Freezing Rain…We just got back from a nice vacation in Italy and the next day we lost the electricity from Wed. at 2 PM until Sunday late at night. We waited for a day in a haft to see if the electricity will come back, I don’t like the cold.
The last two days we went to my sister’s during the day and come home at night to a cold 8-degree house!!!!
Right now some 100.000 houses, don’t have electricity. (April /11/ 2023)

Came back from a vacation to THIS!!!!!!!

March 2023

This year the winter is mild compared to other times BUT!! we have snow and more snow. So tired of this.
We are working on a vacation at the end of this month with my two sons and only grandkid. We are thinking of crossing Italy and my younger son is working on mapping everything. Lucky me.

January 2023

A new year, a year older and travel on my mind. And it is winter!!
When the snow stick to the trees and everything is all white, it is magical for that day. Still, I don,t like winter !!
Winter in Canada comes into its own in November when cold winds come, and the subzero temperature stays stable all day, you have to put boots on, a heavy jacket and gloves… I am not a cold/snow-weather person.
I must say my favourite weather is spring and fall.
Now, it is time to plan a few vacations for this year.

Lifestyle At The Market In Europe

Christmas Markets in Europe

goodies

The first time we visited the European Christmas markets was in 2018 with my son and family. Each day we visit another town to see all the beautiful markets. All the magical markets are a wonderful reason to visit Europe in winter. The Christmas Markets in Europe date back to the 11th century and offer a wonderful glimpse into each town.

Try to visit several markets during your European winter for a truly magical time. You’ll find Christmas markets throughout most of Europe, but the highest concentration seems to be in Germany.

The magic of Christmas brings about an abundance of things to do, taste and see!

Europe is the one continent where you can truly celebrate the wonder of winter.

You’ll find souvenirs, ornaments and food that will differ in each market’s location and so much to see, taste and buy lol.

Hot chocolate, hot drinks are one of the main reasons to visit Europe in winter! Flavored teas and rich and creamy cappuccinos are a winter experience in themselves. And don’t forget that spiced hot wine.

Winter food. Depending on the region, there is a range of winter delicacies to indulge in. From fondue and waffles in Belgium to roasted chestnuts, there’s usually something very good to try in every city you visit!!

Daylight Saving Time

The end of daylight saving time can trigger negative health impacts — including seasonal disorders. But just turning the clocks back one hour this Sunday can mess with your productivity and energy levels and cause sleep deprivation.
Light and darkness play a huge role in dictating my daily rhyme, the internal bodily process that signals when it’s time to wake up and hit the hay.

According to experts, it can take your body up to seven days to properly adjust to the time change associated with the start and end of daylight saving time. You may feel yourself getting hungry earlier than you typically do — or drowsier earlier in the evening.

Here are a few ways How to adjust to the time change.
#1. Go outside and get some sun, it is pretty hard when fall is here so is the rain. LOL…
#2 For me, I have no problem for now, maybe later when I am older !!
#3 I don’t like 4 PM darkness.

October 23

It was a lazy day at the ecomuseum today. Lately, if I go early they are sleeping, in the middle of the day they are sleeping again.
