Travel to Europe -Stress Free

Travelling in Europe can be an incredible experience filled with excitement, adventure, and discovery.

There are numerous beautiful and culturally rich destinations to explore, which can be overwhelming to plan. However, with careful planning, research, and a sense of adventure, travelling in Europe can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience you will cherish for years.

It is important to decide which destinations you would like to visit and what experiences you want to have when beginning your travel planning. Europe offers many beautiful cities, quaint towns, stunning countryside, and breathtaking scenery. Whether you are interested in history, architecture, art, cuisine, or outdoor activities, there is something for everyone in Europe.

Once you have decided on your destinations and experiences, it is time to plan your itinerary—research transportation options such as trains, buses, and flights. You can also consider renting a car or biking. Also, look at local accommodations such as hostels, hotels, and vacation rentals.

Finally, budget your travel expenses, taking into account transportation, accommodations, food, activities, and souvenirs. With careful planning and an adventurous spirit, travelling in Europe can be an unforgettable experience.

Train:

As big fans of European trains, we always get a pass when travelling around. However, before purchasing a pass, it’s essential to consider the duration of your trip, the number of traveling days, and the countries you’ll be visiting.

Additionally, some train companies require seat reservations in advance, which you’ll have to do with each national train company. However, in some cases, you can show your pass to the conductor and board the train.

If you plan on taking a train after landing at the airport, I recommend reserving your seat beforehand. (You can do that from home before leaving.)

We learned this lesson hard on our last trip when we didn’t reserve our seats and the train was fully booked. Waiting for the next train hours after arriving early in the morning is a tiresome experience.

Lodging

Hotel.com

We use the:se booking sites regularly: Both are excellent and have advantages.

We check both for the best price. One thing we like about Hotels.com, in particular, is their 10 percent booking bonus. You get rewards with both of them.

We find some hotels that will give you the same deal if you call or email them.

Credit Card- VPN-Travel Insurance

Are you planning a trip abroad anytime soon?

Remember to bring your credit card, get a reliable VPN, and have travel insurance! These three essentials will give you peace of mind during your travels. With a credit card, you won’t have to worry about foreign currency exchange rates or carrying large amounts of cash.

Plus, many credit cards offer rewards and perks to make your trip more enjoyable. A VPN will protect your online privacy and ensure your personal information is secure using public Wi-Fi connections.

Lastly, travel insurance will protect you financially in unexpected emergencies such as trip cancellations, medical expenses, and lost luggage. So, make sure you’re prepared for your next adventure by packing these three must-haves!

Credit Cards

We have several credit cards, but we mainly use Visa when travelling. Depending on the specific card, it may offer benefits such as access to airport lounges, rewards points, and more. When choosing a credit card, consider what benefits you will use the most. Some cards may be useless if you don’t take advantage of all the benefits. We found that American Express is not widely accepted in most places.

VPN

VPN: Using public Wi-Fi while travelling can risk your browsing and identity. To stay safe, it’s recommended to use a VPN. Setting up a VPN is easy; once you do it, your browsing will be automatically protected. Additionally, VPNs can help you connect to a website in your home country that might be restricted in the country you’re visiting. With Norton, I feel secure on all my devices.

Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is always necessary. Without travel insurance, you may be in trouble if something goes wrong. Canadian health coverage does not apply when travelling outside the country. Investing in travel insurance is a cheap way to have peace of mind, especially during a pandemic. Travel insurance can cover the costs if you get stuck somewhere due to Covid restrictions. Remember to shop around for the best price and coverage.

Cell Phone

To travel to Europe Stress-Free or anywhere else in the world, having fast and reliable cellular data is essential. Although you can use your phone and your plan, it can be pretty expensive due to the hefty roaming fees from your cell phone plan.

One option to avoid these fees is to purchase a local SIM card and ensure your phone is unlocked. This is a good choice if you have a new phone since most are unlocked.

Another way to avoid expensive roaming fees is to replace your phone’s SIM card with a European carrier’s SIM card. This method is usually the best way for most of us to use our phones. However, remember that if you remove your phone’s SIM card, you won’t be able to make phone calls or use your cellular data plan. Nevertheless, you can still use your phone in a Wi-Fi area.

You can usually find free Wi-Fi at cafes and other public places. Once you have a European SIM card, you will have a European cell number and data plan (assuming data is included).

We recommend using the WhatsApp app to make free calls. With voice calls, you can talk to your friends and family for free, even if they are in another country. And with free video calls, you can have face-to-face conversations when voice or text is not enough.

WhatsApp voice and video calls use your phone’s internet connection instead of your phone’s voice minutes, so you don’t have to worry about expensive calling charges.

My New Discovery for Travel to Europe!!

During our trip to Bruges last September, we purchased a SIM card at a reasonable price. Depending on our usage, the card could be used for two journeys. I discovered that reloading the card from home through the Orange website was easy.

**If your phone supports it, you can add an eSIM card, which is easy to use and saves you the hassle of changing the card. You only need to switch from your home SIM card to the travel eSIM card. That easy.
