What’s Inside my camera bag while travelling!! I carry only the minimalist!!

When preparing for a trip, it’s crucial to have all the essentials with you, especially if you’re a photography enthusiast.

That’s why I always make sure to pack my camera bag meticulously with all the necessary equipment to capture the best shots. So, you might be wondering, what’s inside my camera bag while traveling?

My camera bag contains a range of lenses, filters, and accessories to help me achieve different types of shots in any lighting condition.

Additionally, I carry extra camera batteries, memory cards, cleaning tools, and a tripod to ensure I don’t miss any shot.

All in all, capturing moments on my trips becomes so much more exciting thanks to my well-stocked camera bag.

Inside My Camera Bag

Here are nine essential items you'll require.

1*Camera

My Canon m50 and Samsung S23 Plus Phone.

2* Lenses

My lenses are 15-45mm and 18-150m

3* Tripod

When it comes to solo travel, a tripod will be your choice. I don’t travel with mine. I always bring JOBY instead, light and not so big.

This amazingly flexible sidekick can be manipulated to suit your unique and out-of-the-ordinary needs.

4* External Flash

If you plan on taking photos at night or in areas with low or uneven lighting, you will require a tool.

5* Filters

A UV filter can absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish tint that natural light can create. It can also protect the lens from dust, moisture, and scratches.

6* Spare Batteries.

Speaking of batteries, I always make sure to carry a few spares with me when I’m shooting.

7* Memory Card

When I go to different places, I use memory cards and label them so I remember the names of the places I took the pictures when I edited my photos. If you’re going to take a lot of pictures regularly, you need memory cards that can handle the workload.

I suggest getting cards that are 32GB or bigger and making sure they are of good quality.

8* Power Pack

Just in case you need power for your phone or tablet.

9* Camera Bag

I use a Travelon Bag for my camera, all the closures are secure and not too bulky for walking all day.

What is minimalist ?

Experienced travelers recommend packing light, especially for international trips. Adopting a minimalist mindset when embarking on your next adventure will ensure that you only bring along the necessary items.

Many travelers prefer to pack light as it gives them the freedom to move around without being weighed down by their belongings.

Heavy bags can be a hassle and may limit your ability to explore during your travels.

Adopting a minimalist mindset takes consistent effort, especially when it comes to packing all your gears.

Having fewer gears does not necessarily result in bad picture quality!

In other words, less is more.

Some notes to keep in mind before you embark on your travels.

Planning before travelling is a smart move. Identify the places you plan to visit and the types of photos you want to capture. This will guide you in choosing the right lens and deciding the best time of day to visit each location, making it easier to plan your itinerary. Remember to plan ahead to make the most of your trip.

*Charge Your Equipment The Night Before

Make sure everything is charged and ready to go before you set out for the day. Bring along 2-3 extra charged batteries for your camera and external flash.

*Take Notes

Bring a small notebook with you as you travel and when you take photos to make sure you’re noting the place and your camera settings. This will help you later on as you go back to see what worked and what didn’t.

*Bring Secure Bags With Locks

You’ve probably invested a lot in your camera and accessories, so make sure they are kept safe. Bring a camera bag with you that has a lot of padding and can be locked.
