An Amateur Photography Equipment

My Amateur Photography Equipment!

I refer to myself as an amateur photographer because I’m still learning!

Photography is a wonderful and rewarding hobby that allows you to capture beautiful moments and memories in the form of stunning images.

Today, there are a number of photography equipment options available in the market, ranging from beginner-level to professional-grade equipment. As an amateur photographer, it is important to have the right equipment to capture the best possible photos.

When it comes to amateur photography equipment, there are a few essentials that you should have in your kit. Firstly, you should invest in a good quality camera that has manual settings, allowing you to adjust the focus, aperture, and shutter speed to your liking.

In addition to a camera, it is important to have a few basic lenses, such as a standard lens, a telephoto lens, and a wide-angle lens to shoot different types of images.

You will also need a sturdy tripod to keep your camera steady when taking shots with a longer exposure time or in low-light situations. Lastly, having a good camera bag to store and transport your equipment is a must.

By investing in these essentials, you’ll be on your way to capturing stunning images that you can cherish for a lifetime.

Photography equipment isn’t one-size-fits-all, so just because something works for me doesn’t mean it will be right for you.

The equipment is only as good as the experience behind it. Even if you have the best or more expensive camera, that doesn’t mean you will have great photos. Choose the right camera for you.

More choice is always good, but too much leads to confusion.

Go wander in your local camera store or browse online for information. I usually look online to see what is in my price range and after I like to talk to someone in a store. You can ask all the questions you want.

I will not tell you what to buy, it will depend on what you are going to do with it. Vacation photos only, food photography, close up etc.

I own a functioning DSLR Canon Rebel T2I, a Canon M50 Mirrorless camera.

“They may not be new, but they perform the job flawlessly!”

What is Mirroless!

Mirrorless.

Mirrorless cameras are often sought after for their lightweight, compact bodies, making them desirable for travel.

Mirrorless cameras consist of a single, removable lens and a digital display but no reflex mirror. As a result, when light passes through the lens, it travels straight onto a sensor and it’s then processed and displayed.

In terms of lens mounts and attachments, you are limited in your choice.

This camera makes beautiful quality images. Awesome HD video capabilities and built-in WiFi sharing.

Less heavy than a regular camera.

Choosing a camera bag for travel

Choosing the right camera bag for travel can be overwhelming due to many factors to consider. The safety and security of your camera and accompanying equipment while on the move is the top priority.

It’s essential to find a bag with the right amount of padding and compartments for your specific setup. Size, weight, and additional features like waterproofing or locking zippers should also be considered. The bag should be capable of handling a slightly heavier load, including camera gear, a lady-sized wallet, keys, city map, and other essentials.

Ultimately, doing research ahead of time to find a bag that meets your unique needs as a photographer and traveler is crucial. While backpacks have been my go-to for years, I’ve started using a camera bag/purse recently, as long as it has hidden zippers but still easy to access, and I’m not worried about theft or pickpocketing.

This HUGE Lowepro can carry all my pieces of equipment.  I use it around town or traveling by car. I find it too big to lug on vacation by plane.

This is my go-to purse/camera bag.  This bag is not a camera bag, but it has everything I was looking for carrying my camera, lenses, passport and wallet.
