Visiting The Ecomuseum all year round

Winter is one of the seasons; I don’t enjoy it very much. I’ll play outdoors if the day is sunny, dry, and warm.

Near my home is the Zoo, which highlights Québec wildlife in a natural setting. It is home to over 115 species of animals, like black bears, wolves, lynx, eagles, reptiles, and amphibians.

It is also an area where you can find educational information.

Unlike many I have visited, this is a zoo, and you will not find any exotic species. It’s a beautiful place to spend a day in nature, and as a bonus, you can spot some wildlife.

All species were local to Québec and were captured because they could not survive in the wild. The park recreates the natural habitat for wild animals. I love that this eco-zoo is a giant shelter for injured animals and birds. They were rescued under different circumstances and now have a safe place to inhabit and be cared for.

This place is entirely dedicated to the well-being of Québec wildlife, both for the animals in our care and for endangered species in the wild.

I haven’t seen all the animals (for obvious reasons: it’s winter, and some guys are hibernating), but I will surely return in warmer weather to see more variety.

Halloween is coming. The leaves are changing, the animals are hiding or just out of reach from my camera. I am not finished with my year, so will see you later.

It’s an outdoor museum where you can see, hear, and even touch the animals. The Ecomuseum is a place where you can experience nature up close and personal.

As someone who has had the privilege of spending two years at the Ecomuseum, I have had an incredible experience. The animals, staff and visitors have made it a truly special place.
